Bee Friendly – EUAS Application – Missouri State Beekeepers Association

This form will help you obtain an Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS) for the Bee Friendly specialty license plate. If you have any questions regarding this process please read the FAQ found at https://www.mobees.org/beefriendly

If you do not already have a Bee Friendly plate, all steps must be completed to get your specialty plate.

Step 1 – Form 1716 (Missouri Department of Revenue)

The first step to obtaining (and producing) the Bee Friendly license plate is to print off and complete the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) Form 1716. There is a $15 fee associated with this form that you will need to mail to the DOR

The form has the name of the license already populated on it, you will need to fill out the step 1 section .

You will need to select a custom personalization. There are limitations to your choices, please read the instructions completely for step 3. You can fill out six different choices you would prefer (with 6 characters each or 5 characters for handicap plates). Make sure you fill in the required description below your choice. To save yourself a lot of time from picking options that are already chosen (many bee related options are already in use) we strongly encourage you to click here to go the DOR website that can help you see what options are still available. Just click any plate option they have even though it is not the Bee Friendly option and it will tell you which letter combinations may still be available. Do not waste your choices on options that are already not available through this website.

Step 3 – Obtain an Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS)

An Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS) is a document that certifies your eligibility to obtain a Missouri specialty license plate. It is required for your initial application for a Bee Friendly plate, as well as to be eligible for renewals.

In future years you will need to come back to this website to obtain an updated EUAS ($25 for one year renewals, $50 for two year renewals)

I understand that to receive a specialty license plate, a non-refundable donation to MSBA is required and is not a purchase of the plate nor is it conditional on the issuance of the plate by the state of Missouri.(Required)

I understand that the Department of Revenue (and DMV) consider an EUAS expired 90 days after it is issued and I will need to submit all my paperwork or renew my plates to the state prior to that time otherwise I will need to apply for another EUAS.(Required)

Step 4 – Fees

Two year registrations follow the state guidelines and are only available based on the model year of your car. If your care is an even year model and it is an even year than you can apply for a two year registration, if your care is a odd year model and it is an odd year than you can apply for a two year registration.

I understand that I can only apply for a two year registration based on the description above (odd models in odd years, even models in even years). You will need to donate for another EUAS next year if you select a two year payment when you are only eligible for one year (EUAS expire after 90 days).(Required)

Paying by check places considerable burden on our all volunteer staff. We ask that you please consider paying by paypal by unchecking the above box. You are able to use a credit card by doing so and NOT required to use their internal funding sources (like a bank account). It is much safer and more secure than sending a check by mail. It also immediately ensures you have a EUAS.

By choosing to proceed with paying by check you agree that MSBA will NOT send you an EUAS until you check is received. All checks must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) within 10 days or your registration information will be deleted and you will have to repeat the registration process again.

Your EUAS will be emailed to you on receipt of your check, if you do not receive your EUAS within 10 business days of mailing it please notify us
